Noviant to seek a stock market listing

Noviant Oy, the world's leading manufacturer and supplier of Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC), has appointed Enskilda Securities and Schroder Salomon Smith Barney to evaluate strategic alternatives for the future development of the company, including a possible listing on the Helsinki Exchanges (HEX).
MB Funds are mezzanine investors in Noviant.
The main shareholders of Noviant include investors in the Industri Kapital 1994 Fund and Metsä-Serla, which in 1996 divested a majority stake in the Company to funds managed by Industri Kapital. In 1999, Noviant generated net sales of EUR 156.2 million, up 10.4% from the previous year, and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of EUR 39.5 million.
